How Milo handles your data

A working draft of what the product stores, who can see it, and which services run it. Read it as a product description, not as counsel-approved terms.

Draft for counsel

This is a placeholder so visitors can see what Milo does with their data and the product. It is not a finished legal document. It has no effective date and no law firm name. Counsel will replace this text before we treat it as a policy or a contract.

The product

Milo is an organization workspace for drafting emails. You sign in, join or create a workspace, then write with AI chat and a visual editor. Brand kits, media, and email versions live with that workspace.

Account data

Sign-in runs through Clerk. Clerk holds the account you create there, such as name, email address, profile image, and organization membership. Milo reads that identity to know who you are and which workspace you are in.

Workspace data

Email drafts, version history, brand kits, uploaded files, and last-editor labels live in Convex, scoped to your Clerk organization. Members of that organization can read and edit that workspace data. People outside it cannot, unless you share a public preview link.

AI chat

When you use AI chat, Milo sends the prompt, the current email, and brand kit details to a model through Vercel AI Gateway so the editor can draft or edit the template. Do not put secrets in chat that you would not put in the email.

Public preview links

A shared preview link shows a read-only copy of that email to anyone who has the URL. Treat the link like a public page. Revoke it in the product when you no longer want it open.

Processors

The live product uses Clerk for authentication, Convex for the database and file storage, and Vercel to host the app and to call the AI model. Those companies process data as needed to run those parts of the service.

Retention

Workspace records stay until you delete them in the product or the organization is removed. Account records follow Clerk's account lifecycle. This draft does not yet list a separate legal-hold or export process.

What this draft does not claim

It does not name a legal entity, a contact address, an effective date, or a list of regional rights. It does not claim GDPR, CCPA, or similar certification. Counsel will write those pieces. We do not sell workspace content as a product.
